1914 BSA 557cc 'Flat Tank'

The specification of this veteran machine includes magneto ignition, a three speed countershaft gearbox with hand change and final belt drive.

The Birmingham Small Arms Company supplied cycle components to the trade from 1880; it was not until 1910 that it produced its first motorcycle.  This 1914 model is similar to BSA's military model which was send to the Russian Front during the 1914-18 war.
