1969 Marcos 3 Litre

'Marcos' is an amalgam of the first three letters of Marsh and Costin. Both Jem Marsh and Frank Costin had a background in aviation.  No wonder then that their first cars were inspired by aircraft practice and had a chassis of marine ply with an outer shell of glass reinforced plastic.

This later model utilises a normal spaceframe chassis, which was introduced to enable the Marcos product to be marketed in the United States of America.  The old wooden chassis techniques, although light and strong, would never have passed the stringent crash tests required by the American authorities.
