Throughout August, Haynes Motor Museum invites motoring enthusiasts to explore the fascinating stories behind some of cinema and television's most recognisable vehicles in our Enthusiast Talks: The Car’s the Star.

Taking place every Thursday and included with Museum entry, these volunteer-led talks reveal how a handful of extraordinary cars became stars in their own right, capturing the imagination of audiences across generations.

From futuristic time machines and daring getaway cars to vehicles that stole every scene they appeared in, some of the most memorable moments in film and television simply wouldn't be the same without their four-wheeled co-stars.

Our knowledgeable volunteer speakers will uncover the engineering, design and cultural significance behind these famous vehicles, exploring why they became icons of popular culture and how they continue to inspire enthusiasts today.

Enthusiast Talks that go beyond the badge

Haynes Motor Museum's monthly Enthusiast Talks are designed for visitors who enjoy discovering the stories behind remarkable vehicles.

Each month explores a different motoring theme, bringing together expert knowledge, fascinating anecdotes and the passion of our volunteer team to offer fresh insight into the Museum's collection.

For motoring enthusiasts or those new to motoring, these talks provide an opportunity to look beyond the specification sheet and uncover the provenance, history and cultural influence behind some of the world's most celebrated vehicles.

The Car’s the Star Enthusiast Talks take place every Thursday at 11:15am throughout August and are included with standard Museum admission, with no separate booking required. Please meet in the reception area 10 minutes before the talk starts.
