October Enthusiast Talks: What has F1 ever done for me?
22nd Sept 2026
Formula 1 is often seen as the pinnacle of motorsport. But how much of the technology developed on the racetrack has actually made its way into the cars we drive every day?
This October, motoring enthusiasts can find out at Haynes Motor Museum with our latest Enthusiast Talk: What Has F1 Ever Done for Me?
The talk explores the safety innovations and technology pioneered at the highest level of motorsport, and how developments born in Formula 1 have influenced road cars.
Whether you're a lifelong F1 fan, a keen petrolhead or simply interested in automotive technology, this is an opportunity to discover the stories behind some of the innovations that have changed motoring.
What Has F1 Ever Done for Me? takes place on selected dates throughout October, with talks at 11.15am and 1pm. See the dates here.
The Museum's collection includes Formula 1 cars alongside iconic road cars, giving visitors the chance to see the evolution of automotive design and engineering up close.
Make the most of your visit by exploring the Museum's collection before or after the talk. With more than 300 cars and motorcycles on display, Haynes Motor Museum charts more than a century of motoring innovation.
The talk is included with a valid Museum Entry and no booking is required.
