Looking for things to do with the kids this October half term? Make it a family day out to remember at Haynes Motor Museum, from 24 October to 1 November.
Explore more than 300 iconic cars and motorcycles across 15 exhibitions, follow a Halloween-themed trail and enjoy hands-on motoring activities for all ages. Plus, explore a limited time exhibition launching on 21 October. With plenty to discover indoors, Haynes Motor Museum is also a great option for a rainy-day activity during the school holidays.
October Half-Term Activities for All the Family
There’s something for everyone to enjoy this half term, whether your family loves cars, creative challenges or getting hands-on.
Halloween-themed trail: Explore the Museum’s collection and follow a fun trail filled with spooky surprises.
Young Engineers Club: Budding engineers can design and build a car using different materials to protect an egg passenger. Advance booking required.
Scalextric racing: Put your driving skills to the test and challenge the family to a race.
Interactive exhibitions: Discover hands-on STEM activities while learning about motoring, engineering and automotive innovation.
Outdoor play and junior go-karts: Let younger visitors burn off some energy in the play area, with coin-operated junior go-karts available.
All activities are included with a valid Museum admission ticket, except Young Engineers Club.
Allow around three to four hours to explore the Museum and play area. When it’s time for a pit stop, Café 750 serves small bites and drinks, including a dedicated children’s menu. Highchairs and baby-changing facilities are also available, and the Museum’s level and ramp-accessible routes make it easier to get around with pushchairs.
