While Haynes Motor Museum is world-famous for its collection of 300+ iconic cars and motorcycles, there’s one "exhibition" that is a guaranteed favourite for our younger visitors: the Outdoor Play Area!

If you’re looking for a family day out in Somerset that balances automotive history with active play, our dedicated outdoor area is designed to encourage mini-motorists to burn off some energy.

Located just outside the Museum building is our motoring-themed adventure playground. It’s an interactive space where children can immerse themselves in the world of driving in a safe and fun environment.

Key Features of the Play Area

Coin-Operated Go-Karts: Let your little racers get behind the wheel on our dedicated track. It’s the perfect way for them to practice their steering and "track etiquette."

Mini Diggers: A fan favourite! Children can take control of their very own mini Volvo excavator. These are contactless-ready, making it easier than ever to let your little builders get to work without needing to carry spare change.

Mini Road System: Complete with road markings mini cafe, petrol pumps, interactive garage and phone box to fuel the imagination of future drivers.
