Improvements on the A303
There are currently ongoing improvements being made to A303 between Sparkford and Ilchester. Please see our travel recommendations below.
Northbound: If you are heading North on the A359, when you reach the Sparkford roundabout, please stay on the A359 and head through Sparkford Village to access the Museum.
Southbound: If you're heading South along the A359, routes are unaffected, so travel as normal following signs for Haynes Motor Museum.
Eastbound: If you're heading East along the A303, routes are unaffected, so travel as normal carrying along the A303 and follow signs for Haynes Motor Museum.
Westbound: If you're heading West along the A303, routes are unaffected, so travel as normal following signs for Haynes Motor Museum.

By Road
We are located in Sparkford near Yeovil, just off the A303 and 30 minutes from junction 25 of the M5. High-profile brown tourist signs from all major trunk roads provide easy-to-follow directions to the Museum.
The Museum has 8 charging points in the oveflow car park, for those travelling in an electric or hybrid car.
By Rail
The main line station at Castle Cary is 5 miles from the Museum, with its high speed link between Paddington and Penzance. The line also serves a regular daily route between Bristol and Weymouth with regular stops at Yeovil.
By Bus
There are regular bus services to Sparkford Village from Castle Cary and Yeovil. Further information can be obtained from www.travelinesw.com or by calling 0870 608 2608.
By Air
Bristol Airport is just 45 minute drive from the Museum. Heathrow Airport is less than 2 hour drive and Gatwick Airport is only 2 a quarter hours drive.
