Museum closed for second lockdown

4th Nov 2020

Museum closed for second lockdownFollowing changes in Government Guidelines Haynes International Motor Museum will be closed temporarily on Thursday 5 November until further notice.

The support of our visitors who have left so many kind comments, in person, on social media and review websites means so much to us during these difficult times. In particular they have highlighted three key areas:

How safe they felt within all areas of the Museum due to the numerous and well planned COVID safe measures we have implemented; how friendly, helpful and organised all our staff and volunteers are; and how are impressed they are with our numerous new exhibitions.

Please do follow us on social media and check our website for regular updates.  We will open the Museum again just as soon as regulations allow us to do so.  Our Workshop and Restoration Centre will remain open to customers and you can of course also support the charity during this period by doing your Christmas shopping on our online shop where you’ll find lots of wonderful and original gift ideas. All profits from our commercial activities go directly towards supporting the charity and the preservation of this wonderful collection of cars for the nation and future generations.

Chris Scudds, Chief Executive Officer, commented:

We had a very successful half term last week and would like to thank everyone who visited us.  It is so disappointing for the entire team of staff and volunteers that we now have to temporarily close, but we respect the Government’s decision and very much hope we can open our doors again in early December.
